I don’t know about you guys, but I’m the biggest procrastinator (if that’s a word) I have ever known. For weeks at a stretch I have used to (and still could be ;) wasting the WHOLE day without doing absolutely anything! Except for eating and sleeping and of course browsing the internet. The longest I can remember is for around one and a half months where all I did was watching tv series and movies at a stretch. This happened while I was waiting for results after I did my A/Ls. I was kinda depressed and refused to even go out and see my friends.

So anyway the point is that I am someone who could NEVER find motivation to study. I tried many things including downloading motivational wallpapers to my laptop and my phone and god knows what. They kind of worked. I mean I actually felt like I was motivated but that was never enough to drag myself from the bed to the table to actually do work.

But somehow I managed to find how to study even if your mind constantly tells you to hug your pillow and go to sleep or watch the next episode of that awesome tv series. So we will be talking about how to get motivated and also some other things I do, when motivation doesn’t really work for me.

Ok we've all learnt our nail art stuff step by step... and for a beginner, it's important to know the VERY basic nail art essentials you should always have with you as a girl.
I also started very slowly, taking time to realize why these items are important to do a simple manicure and here I am teaching you the very basics I learnt over the past few years.

DIY: How to Make Your Own Toothpick Basket in 10 steps

As my first blog post, I'm gonna show you how to make a DIY toothpick basket in 10 simple steps.

Things You'll Need: 

• A packet of toothpicks 
• Glue

How To:

1. Keep 2 toothpicks parallel to each other, vertically, on your working surface, and apply two dots of glue on both ends of the toothpicks. (It'll be better if you applied the glue leaving several millimetres on the ends.)
2. Keep another 2 toothpicks on the first two, horizontally.
3. Apply glue dots and stick another 2 toothpicks as you did earlier.
4. Continue the process until you create a square model, deep enough.
5. Apply glue along the last two toothpicks.
6. Make the base of the basket by covering with toothpicks. 
7. Leave it for 15 minutes for the glue to harden.
8. Turn the basket, hollow side up, and apply 2 stripes of glue along the middle of the four sides.
9. Leave for 5 minutes.
10. Apply glue on the top ends of the sticks and keep toothpicks as to make a handle and leave for 15 minutes.

Now that you have created your very own Toothpick basket, fill it with anything you want.
Below is a picture of my first toothpick basket (Its handle is a little bit different,yes) that I have filled with quilled flowers.

If you can't survive without straightening or curling your hair, do use a good heat protection product to keep your hair safe. Or just minimize using them if you want healthy hair.

Easy nail art: Dog Paws Nail art

I have short nails and sometimes it's a problem because I can't do any nail art I like. But there are cute nail arts for short nails and this is one of the cutest 

The dog paws nail art. It is really easy and you will only need a dotting tool and if you don't have a dotting tool read my DIY dotting tools post to create your own tools

These are the steps:

1. Paint your nails with any base colour your like.

2. Place three dots in the shape of a dog paw in any place of the nail (I prefer the bottom)

3. Then add a stripe in front of all the dots and then you are done ! (you can add 3-4 stripes)

You can add one dog paw or more depending on the size of your nail.

Internet Doomsday - Will your computer get doomed too?

I thought I must talk about the DNS changer virus, which is going to be a huge threat to all us internet users in near future, though it is not about beauty, nails or anything...

"Update on March 12, 2012: To assist victims affected by the DNSChanger malicious software, the FBI obtained a court order authorizing the Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) to deploy and maintain temporary clean DNS servers. This solution is temporary, providing additional time for victims to clean affected computers and restore their normal DNS settings. The clean DNS servers will be turned off on July 9, 2012, and computers still impacted by DNSChanger may lose Internet connectivity at that time."

"DNS (domain name service) changer virus, redirects you to a criminal site without your knowledge. Mac and widows are more capable to get affected by this virus and If your computer is infected, you will be disconnected from the internet on                9 July 2012

Go to this site to check if your computer is affected or not -    http://www.dns-ok.us/

If it is green, your computer is not affected by the virus and if it is red, You MUST disinfect your computer before 9 JULY or you will be disconnected from the internet.
